I shot this with a moderate telephoto, which tends to flatten an image. And the horses are pressed against the barn. Perhaps that accounts for your perception.
My mom would probably shoot me for asking this question but I just don’t know horses (she’s definitely a horse person). What color was the horse originally? Bay? Chestnut? Palomino? Something about it seems a bit odd. Like you’re missing something dark red.
