A compelling, dramatic shot culled from the mundane. To me, the presence of people — riding and waiting, probably looking at their phones — makes this all the more compelling. Without the people, I don’t think this image would have the same evocative power. Nice work.
You know me well enough by now to know that I usually want the damned people out of my shots. But this one needed a touch of something to connect to, I guess. I don’t mind sterile architecture shots, but here that wouldn’t have worked so well.
