Sweet. I really like the concept of the Sci-Fi markers and the similar backgrounds. Curious, though … the metal panel holding the Sci-Fi tags are OF. The tags are, in contrast, in focus. The BG is sharply in focus. It’s all distracting as hell for me, not in a pleasant or engaging way. What were you doing here?
Conceptually, I think it’s wonderful. I need some work on the execution.
I shot these with the aperture pretty open – 7.1, focused (obviously) on the tags. What may be hard to figure out is that the panel is plastic, a bit opaqued. Viewed straight on it’s less obvious but at the low angle it’s a lot more opaque. I think that’s what you’re seeing.
