… on the western shore of Flaming Gorge Reservoir in southwestern Wyoming.
Best morning of shooting in DC. Sunrise over the Tidal Basin, shot from near the FDR memorial toward the Jefferson memorial. Had to chase a crane off this location when scouting the shot. Needed just the right spot to see Jefferson in profile against the sky.
The “November Project” groups hit the Lincoln Memorial steps every Wednesday at 5:30 am and 6:30 am. I was a little shocked to find several hundred people running the stairs as I passed through on my way to the Tidal Basin, but people do strange things.
*after yesterday’s “backlit ice” … This is the same twig on a red maple in my yard. (And it’s so nice to shoot spotless skies again after getting my Canon’s sensor cleaned …)
Frost survives a few more moments before the sunrise…
