I’ve posted a series of shots from the Denver Center for the Performing Arts lately, and in them I have tried to process for dramatic effect (which befits the setting as well as my own garish aesthetic). Last night there were no shows so the place was deserted and the event night lights were off. Accordingly, here’s a calmer take on the venue….
When I posted my Buell Theatre shot the other day, Greg Stene asked this in the comments: “Just curious, did you have another shot which included the lower foreground, the walking space to some degree. I feel like the image is floating, and perhaps if it were grounded more in the foreground, you might have an image with an easier-to-find point of entry.” Good question.
Okay, earlier I challenged my buddy and fellow 5280 Lens Mafioso Mike Pecaut, who was in town to help me celebrate my birthday yesterday, to a downtown Denver shoot-off. This is Mike:
