I use a 100mm macro with my Canon 80D. But I use a Sigma 30mm macro with my Sony a5100. Look at “alone” from Nov. 5. I shot that with a Sigma 19mm with my Sony. That is perhaps the sharpest lens I’ve ever used. And it’s cheap — about $200 (as are the Sigma 30mm and 60mm lenses I have. The Sigma 30mm macro is about $300 and change). These days I walk into the wood with the Sony and that 19mm, and there’s very little I can’t do with it, from macro to landscape.
Nice one
You know, I’ve tried variations of this kind of shot several times. Never got one that was worth a damn. It’s harder than it looks. Nicely done….
Thanks, Sam. My little Sony with a Sigma 30mm macro, coupled to MY NEW TRIPOD, in which the center post tilts!
30mm? When did you get that? I thought you shot a Canon 50.

Are you migrating to SONY, then?
No. I am merely bifurcating … 🙂
Is that legal in NY?
I’ve had special training from a licensed professional …
