I am not into Halloween, but I am into abandonment. So this is not a Halloween post, it is an art of decay post. Or if you insist, it is a Halloween post. Boo.

Samantha, this is fantastic. Most people, when they shoot decay, just shoot decay. They fail to capture the actual emotion of the scene. This is like a headlong rush into the situation where you’re not give a moment to ease up and reflect. Everywhere you turn, there’s another aspect that rattles the mind. Well done. I don’t know if you had a chance to play with the location of the plastic chair, but if you did, it would be great to see those posted also.
Thank you! Your comment means a lot to me because I try to make it a point to not just shoot decay. There are so many stories to be told in abandonment and I think it is why I am so drawn to it. At this particular building, I did not have much time to do much of any playing. Every picture I have is taken as found, but I still find a lot of emotion in them. If you would like to see them, I would love to post them. They’re my guilty pleasures after all.
Yeah, PLEASE post them.
Greg is right. Decay only matters in context. This hints at a story. It conveys emotion, loss. Nicely done.
Also, an Iphone picture!
