I took my nice new Nikon 200-500 lens out and practiced trespassing near WA-520 to see if I could get a cormorant pretending to be a fire lizard. I need a little more range, but the model was cooperative 🙂

the “for sale” sign at the left pretty well tells it all. probably headed for demolition. but is the land even worth the cost of the demolition? now, eight months later, it would be interesting to see the resolution, if any.

From my backyard last year. In this El Nino winter, snow’s fallen only once here. My heating bill likes the rarely freezing temperatures, but it’s a dreary season so far without snow.
