Turning Leaves: Reynolda Gardens

After shooting Rialto Beach near La Push, Mora, and Forks, I was driving back toward Port Angeles to check out a possible shot I’d seen the day before and there were more than forty elk collected in a field near Sappho.  Besides the strong side light their breath was visible in the cool morning air and I took a few minutes to grab some shots.

Into the Forest: Blue Ridge Parkway

I spent the last week in North Carolina. This is the first of several Blue Ridge Parkway fall color shots. Several will be of the “road disappearing into the woods” variety.

Snow fell on the university today. This is a wetland in the center of campus. I am not ready for snow yet.
