Early morning in the Tidal Basin, Thomas is watching....
Best morning of shooting in DC. Sunrise over the Tidal Basin, shot from near the FDR memorial toward the Jefferson memorial. Had to chase a crane off this location when scouting the shot. Needed just the right spot to see Jefferson in profile against the sky.

The “November Project” groups hit the Lincoln Memorial steps every Wednesday at 5:30 am and 6:30 am. I was a little shocked to find several hundred people running the stairs as I passed through on my way to the Tidal Basin, but people do strange things.
