You had me scuttling off for my dictionary. Amaranth, huh? The second one had me going for a while. Nice idea.
1. any plant of the genus Amaranthus, typically having small green, red, or purple tinted flowers. Certain varieties are grown for food.
2. an imaginary flower that never fades.
As noted in the tags, amaranth is another name for Red Dye No. 2. Remember that evil bastard?
