Beauty unseen

This year we wandered into a portion of the tulip fields that had been intentionally beheaded. Several rows of green stalks with blossoms scattered in the trenched rows – I suspect these were grown for the bulbs and not the blossoms. Think of the stored beauty underground – a secret for the coming year.
