Nice shot. I’m a freak for contrast, and this contrast of the red with the almost-B&W background is particularly attractive and interesting. There’s something quite nice about the crop, too … low to the left and building to where it rises at the end on the right.
The color contrast here is just fantastic. Is the background what happened organically as you processed the foreground color or did you noodle it, as well?

I just altered the hue. Only the trees in the foreground were lit by the rising sun. Anything in the background is a happy accident.
