The depth of texture in the top one is amazing! The lower one reminds me of a 1930’s art deco piece…the Graf Zeppelin flying across it wouldn’t be unexpected.
Mostly it’s the shadows-and-detail adjustment in PS after converting to black and white. It’s possible to take an afternoon puffy like these and turn them into foreboding monsters … I also discovered that in shooting sky — no portion of land or object in the frame, autofocus is iffy. So I switch to manual to be sure I’m focused on infinity.
Fantastic photos!

I’m dying to know how you processed these. The depth, light and contrast is just perfect. You and Thow need to have a cloud-off.
