This is fantastic – the natural color against the industrial painted background. Really striking.
I keep returning to this shot – it is lovely, but it is the tension between the practical utility of the building and it’s hard life – and those soft colors and the whimsy of the wisteria that call me back. wonderful stuff. Have you read Koren’s book on Wabi-Sabi for artists?
I have not read it but I will. I am realizing that this is the kind of stuff I am drawn to repeatedly. I think that the concept resonates with me so much partly because of the years I spent living in Southeast Asia as a child. I am working on a website now that will feature these types of images. Stay tuned!
