Hi Sam – well around here they (Native Pacific Dogwood) all succumbed to dogwood anthracnose. We had a diseased one removed from our yard many years ago. They may thrive in less cultivated garden settings – but all the dogwoods around where I live are kousa varieties of asia. Thanks for the nice comment on the background – I thought that too.
Such beautiful colors …
Thanks Denny – it is a dogwood. The native dogwoods have all died out here – this is an import.
First off, the color and focus here yields a shot that’s almost Impressionistic. Very pretty. And second, what do you mean the dogwoods have died off?
