Yes, the TV Batman did this back in the 60s, but enough time’s passed to reclaim this approach (see my note to Stuart). Nice work. And technically, it’s really there. Beautifully balanced with the major objects at top right and bottom left. I wonder, though, could you have retained some detail in the upper left? I’m all for blocks of black, but I am visually curious about that area.
Yes, this is pretty much what I was thinking. But does it match or violate your artistic intent for this image? Have you lost some compositional drama? Not saying you have … but maybe if so, by losing the drama in the upper left, it locates it even more strongly in the upper right/lower left.

No, this was a good idea. It also got me thinking about a couple of other small details, and I have reprocessed those, too.
