Another angle on the plumb line sculpture at the Wellington Webb Building in Denver – this facing the southwest entrance. First, the basic processing output.
I’m experimenting with processing a bit here. This is a spectacular venue and in addition to simply trying to hone my skills, I want to get the most out of the shot that I can. Without going too far. This is photography, not graphic art.
So here’s a second take – this is basically the same process finished with a Fujichrome Sensia 100 filter.
Finally, this take employs HDR processing.
Any of these you like better? Hate worse?
Happy Monday, in any case.
I like the sheen the HDR imparts to No. 3. But I like No. 2 more because of the higher color contrast. Of course, this is like picking your favorite child. Well done.
I like the sheen, too, but I don’t want to be guilty of overcooking in HDR. I have stayed away from it for several months now because I felt like I was using it as a crutch instead of learning some more important basic skills.
It’s interesting that your least favorite one here is the one that’s the least processed.
