A Good Life

Hello! Yes, I am alive (somewhat), and I apologize for having disappeared for a bit…ok, it was a while. Graduate school is kicking my butt. That said, I do continue to follow when I have a quiet moment, and I have thoroughly enjoyed everyone’s work.

These photographs are from a project I am working on with Greyrock Farm in Cazenovia, NY. Matt Volz began the farm on his own about two years ago, and now he has a staff of seven full-time farmers, all between the ages of 25 and 31. None of them ever planned on being farmers. Though the images are only of some of the animals, if you would like to see the rest of what I have so far, they are on my newly created website: www.manuelamarinsalcedo.com

  1. First, good to hear that you’re alive. Second, love the set. The cow looks like the bovine answer to the woman in Degas’ famous “L’Absinthe.” I know, only I would put those two together.
