  1. This is a lovely shot. The dark tree line blending into dark clouds and the lighter sky, above. The isolation both in the landscape and by the sheath of ice. It brings back memories of my childhood and the ice storms of Southside Virginia. On one occasion, we were without power for over three days, and did all our cooking over a wood fire (I had to break the ice off the wood that was stacked, uncovered, outside). The fence suggests — what? — Wyoming? Kansas?
