Yes, just a basic really pretty scene there. I’m going to be in Seattle next week. I ought to take my camera and see if I can find something to shoot….
Stuart – I like your take on this shot with the wake from your ferry in the lower part of the frame. It is wonderful to see Mt. Rainier out – a reminder in humility. Seattle is so tiny placed against that mountain.

That’s the Faultneroy/Vashon/Southworth ferry in the distance, Sam, and as Dawn says, it’s Mt. Rainier in the background. This is taken from the back of the Vashon/Seattle foot ferry, which is how I got so low to the water (regular ferries are a bit higher up, even at deck level). The land to the right is Vashon Island.
Dawn. Yep. You nailed it. Without the wake in the foreground, the photo is just … meh. Even with it, it’s hardly much in the artistic sense. I just think it’s pretty, and I needed a bit of pretty, today.
