  1. That looks like the tour boat. And I guess that’s Olympia in the background?

    Yes, just a basic really pretty scene there. I’m going to be in Seattle next week. I ought to take my camera and see if I can find something to shoot….

  2. Stuart – I like your take on this shot with the wake from your ferry in the lower part of the frame. It is wonderful to see Mt. Rainier out – a reminder in humility. Seattle is so tiny placed against that mountain.

  3. That’s the Faultneroy/Vashon/Southworth ferry in the distance, Sam, and as Dawn says, it’s Mt. Rainier in the background. This is taken from the back of the Vashon/Seattle foot ferry, which is how I got so low to the water (regular ferries are a bit higher up, even at deck level). The land to the right is Vashon Island.

  4. Dawn. Yep. You nailed it. Without the wake in the foreground, the photo is just … meh. Even with it, it’s hardly much in the artistic sense. I just think it’s pretty, and I needed a bit of pretty, today.
