Dia de los Muertos

National Museum of the American Indian, Washington, DC

Obviously taken through a display case – which created its own contribution to the image. Especially the blue patch of reflected sky at the bottom – perhaps a representation of this religious holiday of ancestors, saints and souls?

  1. today is the DOD celebration? crap. i’m all partied out from last night. Denny notes the lighting. i’m also impressed, but left wondering … this looks like really low-level light. how did you manage to get such a crisp image? i would have thought you would have had to shoot a long exposure, and would expect camera shake.

    • Greg – I went back to check the information on the shot. It was the Lumix LX3 – it auto selected night scenery. It is a brilliant little camera.
