Remember these little guys? Well, they grew up!

During spring I walked through a field behind one of my university’s residence halls. Along a stream I found some plants with what I thought was just a yellow fungus. But through my macro lens, I could see these globular tiny insects. My more learned friends have identified these guys as aphids.

This week I returned to that field to examine the same plants. After the cut is what I found.


And below? It looks like I found Mom!
