things can look quite average, or normal on first pass. but take a closer look, and they become something else. see the second image in this series for a close-up of what is actually a reflection of a tree in a stream.  those are leaves in the water, not in the air.

i added only some slight sharpening and leveling … this is what the water was really doing to the reflection, as seen by taking the image to 100%. if you want to get philosophical, it’s a literal reflection of some of our lives … a good surface show, but quite different up close. but i really don’t want to get philosophical.
