Inspired by the gorgeous macro images taken by Dr. Denny here at 5280… a stealthy garden spider for your consideration.
What I learned from this being –
Confession – did not spot the spider as I was intent on capturing a rose hip. The focus just was not working – putting down the camera down and using my eyes – surprise, there was this little guy smack in the middle of things. He/she was hiding in plain sight and doing a fabulous job.
Just for fun I tried to alter the image a bit – and every time the spider’s natural camouflage wins out. Today this little guy leaves me with a sense of wonder and awe.
On this Wednesday I wish you all a moment of wonder.
That’s one frightening spider … in tight, sharp focus. Well done.
Thank you – it is an homage to your macro work. Imagine how scary that little guy is to the insect that becomes trapped in the web.
You have to watch out for spiders. Some of those little guys are sneaky. And in this case, cute.
Watch out for all those spiders in Denny’s post the other day…
