the impossible

in 1991, Colorado had what was considered one of the top 2 or 3 seasons ever for aspen changes in fall. it was impossibly beautiful, everywhere in the mountains. you folks still in Colorado have a week or two to get ready and get yourselves up there, as i figure it. this ain’t just shooting nature (which can be incredibly cliche’); it’s finding that magic that happens just once a year. i stumbled into it all back then. i was incredibly incompetent in my photography, but the subject sort of saved me in this one.
